D8.3 DATA MANAGEMENT PLAN, UPDATE M36
The Data Management Plan is a document that outlines the management and handling of research data both on a daily and long-term basis, establishing early-stage choices about the main aspects of the lifecycle of research outputs. In the CODECS project, the DMP has been established to plan and make careful choices about the necessary data to achieve the project's goals, with the aim of ensuring that data is managed securely and in accordance with the highest standards of quality and ethics, in compliance with all regulations involved. In the light of the general framework outlined by the European Commission, which promotes open and collaborative science, the data management of this project adheres to the principles of Open Science. In accordance with Horizon Europe guidelines[1], this DMP establishes the rules for responsible management of research data in line with the FAIR principles of ‘Findability’, ‘Accessibility’, ‘Interoperability’ and ‘Reusability’, and according to the principle of "as open as possible, as closed as necessary", in compliance (also) with the European General Data Regulation Policy (GDPR). The initial DMP was released in March 2023. The second version provided a clearer delineation of Living Labs activities, introduced adjustments to the data-related tasks across WPs, updated the personal data flow, and detailed materials of legal relevance. This third version includes further updates to reflect the current status of data production and management, including an updated section on the integration of the gender perspective within the project.
