MSU College of Arts and Letters Mentoring Program - Mentee and Mentor Calls and Invitations

Each year the MSU College of Arts and Letters invites its tenure and non-tenure system faculty to participate in a College-wide mentoring program. Typically 20-30 people participate with around 8-10 mentors each of whom is compensated $1000 for the year-long+ program, plus workshops. A call goes out for interested mentors and mentees typically in late January/early February of each year. Trainings take place in late February or in March. Kick-off meetings take place in April with initial mentoring cohort or 1-1 meetings taking place in April and May. Then a break for the summer with optional meetings. Then resume in the fall for the entire next academic year. There is typically a spring kick-off after the fall and then a final meeting that sometimes has included the new cohort for the following year in activities together.
