Developing Career Guidance Competence Through Three Components Cognitive - Attitudinal - Behavioral: An Approach Based on Digital Competence and Chatbots
ABSTRACT : In the context of digital transformation, digital competence has become a foundational requirement for global citizens. However, current research on chatbot applications in education primarily focuses on technical aspects or providing admission information at the university level, overlooking the profound educational potential for K-12 students. This study proposes an integrated theoretical framework, viewing career orientation as a comprehensive competence comprising three components: cognitive, attitudinal, and behavioral. Based on the european digital competence framework (DigComp), the article establishes a connection between four core digital skills (information, communication, content creation, problem solving) and the career decision-making process. The novelty of this study lies in repositioning the chatbot with a dual role: serving both as a tool for students to demonstrate competence and as an interactive environment to develop skills. The research results provide a reference model for designing intelligent career guidance systems, shifting from automated question-answering to constructing practical competence for learners.
