Data set for the manuscript "Impacts of urban runoff pollutants on biofilm communities"
This data set contains the raw data for two laboratory experiments conducted in this study about freshwater ecotoxicology. In both studies freshwater biofilm was colonized on artifical subtrata (glass tiles) and was exposed to several loads of urban pollutants typically found in urban runoff. Dataset_EXP1: data about the experiment conducted with biofilms submitted to urban runoff at different concentrations (%). Measured variables include: Chlorophyll-a content (Chla, µg/cm2), Photosynthetic efficiency (Yeff), Basal fluorescence (F0), Bacterial density (cells_ml, cells/mL), and Primary Production based on carbon incorporation (C14, µg/cm2*h). Dataset_EXP2: data about the experiment conducted with biofilms submitted to six typical urban runoff pollutants, individually and in mixture, at different concentrations (µg/L). Measured variables include: Chlorophyll-a content (Chla, µg/cm2), Basal fluorescence (F0), Photosynthetic efficiency (Yeff) and Bacterial density (cells_mL, cells/ml).
