Research progress on traditional Chinese medicine in treating autoimmune thyroiditis by targeting NLRP3 inflammasome
Recent studies have revealed that the NLRP3 inflammasome is involved in the pathogenesis of autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) by regulating inflammatory response pyroptosis oxidative stress and immune homeostasis.Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome activation through multi-component and multi-target mechanisms demonstrating unique therapeutic potential. This article systematically reviews the role of the NLRP3 inflammasome in AIT and the research progress of TCM intervention thus providing some new ideas for clinical therapy.
