Identification of Hydrosulphide Ion Channel in Arabidopsis

Summary statement H 2 S is a key gaseous signalling molecule that regulates growth, stress responses and cellular homeostasis in plants. We demonstrate that the Arabidopsis SLAC1 protein functions as a channel for HS − , providing novel mechanistic insights into H 2 S‐mediated regulation of plant growth and stress adaptation.
