A Study on the Necessity of Fixed Manufacturing Processes to Ensure Airworthiness of Aircraft Engines

Aircraft engines operate under extreme conditions of high temperature, high pressure, and high rotational speed, and therefore, the failure of Life-Limited Parts can lead to catastrophic accidents. In this paper, failure cases of Life-Limited Parts caused by material defects and anomalies in manufacturing processes are analyzed, and the key elements of fixed process control required by civil and military airworthiness standards are identified. The necessity of establishing and maintaining fixed manufacturing processes to ensure conformity with design intent is demonstrated from both technical and regulatory perspectives.Furthermore, strategies for effectively implementing fixed process control are proposed, including the management and standardization of key process parameters, design intent substantiation based on fixed processes, and supply chain management through engineering approval systems. , , , . , , , ., , , .
