PARP inhibitor–associated folate deficiency anemia

Following PARPi initiation for BRCA1/2 -related malignancies, at least 3.1% of patients developed marked folate deficiency anemia, precipitating hemoglobin decreases from 11.1 (IQR 9.9-12.1) to 7.0 g/dL (IQR 6.3-7.4) ( P < 0.001), PRBC transfusion dependence (62.5%), and cancer treatment disruptions (75%).
