THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL ENDURANCE IN ELITE ACADEMIC ROWERS

Purpose of this study – fined of possibilities of improvement of special endurance in elite academic rowers. During the long-term analysis, which was conducted by extending two Olympic training cycles, the possibilities for creating various combinations of specialized activities were explored. It is generally accepted that the greatest possibilities for realizing the body's reserves to increase special performance lie in improving training methods and methods, work and recovery modes, and the rational combination of training loads of different orientations. This creates the prerequisites for increasing the training effect of loads by intensifying the training process and for a more complete realization of the athlete's potential in competitive activities. The target orientation of specialized training facilities was oriented towards the development of functional endurance capabilities of high-class rowers, associated with the manifestation of various aspects of power, kinetics, and stability of reactions. These indicators were recorded and summarized in the process of multi-year stage examinations of the functional capabilities of academic rowers at the end of the preparatory, basic, control-preparatory, pre-competitive, and competitive mesocycles of training. The methodological approach presented in the paper is a conceptual basis for improving the planning of specialized training tools aimed at developing special endurance of high-class academic rowers.
