As we are closing down the BACCN's 40th Conference, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their active participation and engagement throughout the event.Over these inspiring days, we have shared innovative ideas, discussed emerging challenges and celebrated the incredible advancements in critical care nursing.It has been truly inspiring to see the dedication, passion and collaboration of everyone involved, reinforcing our shared commitment to excellence in patient care.This year, at our annual conference, we welcomed Neal Mellon, the founding Chair of the BACCN, who played a pivotal role in establishing the association 40 years ago.His vision, leadership and dedication laid the foundation for the wonderful critical care nursing community we have today.Neal's commitment to advancing practice, fostering collaboration and supporting nurses has left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire us all.As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the BACCN, we honour his significant contributions and the lasting impact he has had on critical care nursing.
