A hydrazone-based fluorescent chemosensor for Al 3+ : turn-on response induced by ESIPT suppression
A hydrazone Schiff base is synthesized that acts as a dual fluorescent and colorimetric sensor for Al 3+ . Binding of Al 3+ suppresses the ESIPT process, leading to a pronounced turn-on fluorescence response.
