A hexaazatrinaphthylene-based near-infrared photothermal organic small molecule for efficient photo-thermo-electric conversion
5,6,11,12,17,18-Hexaazatrinaphthylene-2,8,14-tricarboxylic acid (HTA) exhibits broad absorption (300-1500 nm) and a high PCE (>60%), attributed to the formation of stable triplet diradicals via intramolecular charge transfer. Remarkably, the HTA@TEC1-12701 device outputs 211.9 mV under 1 sun and 930 mV under 4 suns, sufficient to drive a small fan.
