Turning Around Uncertainty
Abstract: Literary Theories of Uncertainty brings together a diverse range of scholars and scholarly approaches to assess the state of uncertainty both within and as it pertains to literature. Following an impressive introduction by editor Høeg, the individual contributions shed light on various aspects, appearances, and implications of ambiguity. Ultimately, this volume argues with incredible precision that uncertainty is and will remain an open question. However, this does not mean it is a catch-all term. The widely varying chapters collected here show that uncertainty is a multifaceted issue of literary interpretation that deserves further investigation.
