Soft Magnetic Artificial Muscles with High Work Density and Actuation Strain via Dual Cross‐Linking Design (Adv. Funct. Mater. 3/2026)
Soft Magnetic Artificial Muscles In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202516218), Hoon Eui Jeong and co-workers present a high-performance magnetic composite artificial muscle. A dual cross-linked, stiffness-tunable polymer matrix embedded with functionalized magnetic microparticles enables programmable deformation, ultra-large actuation strain, and high work density—allowing the soft muscles to lift loads more than 4000 times their own weight.
