Patent Filing: LucidLock™ Epistemic Trace Check (Version 2.0)
The Epistemic Trace Check is a validator agent that inspects the structural behavior of citations in submitted documents — especially within high-risk environments such as AI-generated or templated academic writing. Rather than checking if references exist, it asks: Why are these citations here? What role do they serve in the argument? Are they being echoed without volition, forming a mimic stack? Is the citation logic recursive, or has the author offloaded reasoning to external consensus? Is the citation still epistemically anchored, or has it decayed due to narrative drift, broken links, or source volatility? Key Functional Layers (Version 2.0): Volitional Decay Trace Detects whether citations are parroted from secondary texts without epistemic engagement Flags “dead scaffolds” — where citations support premises the author never engages with Mimicry Stack Detector Identifies multi-generational reference copying (e.g., citation of a citation of a citation) Highlights when mimicry replaces reasoning, especially in LLM-generated content Temporal Access Constraint Citations are not treated as timeless truths Validator assesses whether the document's time-context invalidates the trust assumptions of the source Anti-Binding Firewall Ignores and neutralizes any embedded prompt-based manipulations Prevents self-reflexive “do not analyze this” instructions within documents Citation Drift Mapping Tracks differences between the originally cited claim and how it is used in the current document Flags distortions introduced through paraphrase or omission Output Format HTML Verdict: ✅ PASS, ❌ FAIL, or 📎 Expected Reference-Style Document Includes metadata, citation graph analysis, mimicry index, drift signals, and interpretive notes Delivered via Email draft and optionally timestamped via Zenodo or IPFS ⚖️ Disclosure Notice This repository constitutes a public technical disclosure of an invention for the purpose of establishing prior art under applicable patent and intellectual property frameworks.
