A Predictive and Prospecting Model of the Tuyukan Uranium Cluster Area Based on Earth Remote-Sensing Data and a Structural–Tectonophysical Approach

Based on an original approach using geoinformation technologies, processing of Earth remote-sensing data, and structural–geomorphological, spatiogeometric, spatiodensity, and tectonophysical methods for the Tuyukan U cluster, specific features of the evolution of the fault framework are revealed and structural and tectonophysical criteria responsible for the location of ore mineralization within the area are formulated and spatially visualized. Using normalization and determination of weight coefficients of each criteria, a digital structural weight of evidence model was elaborated, the accuracy of which is 81% in comparison with reference ore objects. This model is an important basis for more accurate formulation of prospecting geological works, primarily for uranium, within sheet O-49-XII of the State Geological Map.
