First Elaborations on the Mass Concept in the Layer Theory of Spacetime

We present the first comprehensive formulation of the mass concept within the Layer Theory of Spacetime. The theory postulates that spacetime possesses an intrinsic stratified structure along an additional energetic coordinate, denoted by z, which does not correspond to a conventional spatial dimension. Within this framework, all particle masses — ranging from neutrinos to heavy fermions and composite bound states — arise dynamically from field localization and overlap effects across these layers. No additional particles, forces, or ad hoc flavor symmetries beyond the Standard Model are introduced. Starting from an axiomatic foundation, we construct a five-dimensional effective field theory, derive the four-dimensional mass spectrum via dimensional reduction, and obtain a universal master mass formula. The resulting mass hierarchies emerge naturally from geometric and energetic separation along the layer dimension. This work establishes a self-contained and falsifiable theoretical basis suitable for quantitative comparison with experimental data and future peer review.
