Stochastic Gravitational-Wave Signatures of a Blue-Tilted EFT Bounce
A regulated effective-field-theory (EFT) framework for a nonsingular cosmological bounce is presented and subjected to a comprehensive set of internal consistency and observational audits. The analysis does not assume a microscopic ultraviolet completion, but instead examines whether a phenomenological, information-based regulator can simultaneously regularize curvature, maintain perturbative control, and remain compatible with established thermodynamic, holographic, and quantum energy constraints. Background dynamics, perturbative stability, ultraviolet behavior, entropy evolution, and quantum legality are explicitly tested. The transient violation of the null energy condition required for the bounce is shown to remain consistent with quantum energy inequalities. The framework’s observational implications are then examined, identifying a generically blue-tilted primordial gravitational-wave spectrum that yields falsifiable signatures across pulsar timing arrays, space-based interferometers, and tensor-sector cosmic microwave background observables. Likelihood comparisons demonstrate compatibility with current PTA data without asserting detection, and a bispectrum audit confirms that excessive primordial non-Gaussianity is avoided. The framework is presented as a conservative, falsifiable EFT benchmark rather than a unique alternative to inflation, providing a controlled setting in which nonsingular early-universe dynamics can be critically tested with current and near-future observations.
