A Comprehensive Study of IoT Applications in Smart and Sustainable Environment Development

Smart and sustainable technologies will shape the future of construction engineering by addressing the growing demands for efficiency, safety, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Automated tools, digital tools, and environmentally conscious practices are all part of these technologies. Despite this, they face various challenges, and innovative solutions are needed to ensure their effective integration. Construction engineering offers a lot of opportunities for reducing costs, improving safety, and improving the environment in the future. In spite of these challenges, widespread adoption of these technologies is challenging, as they are expensive, lack interoperability, require complex data management, and are regulated. In order to meet these challenges, the industry will need to invest in research and development, collaborate across sectors, and innovate continuously. The construction industry is moving toward smarter, more sustainable practices, and these technologies will play an important role in shaping the built environment in the future. The purpose of this article is to discuss various opportunities of smart technology to reduce the cost edge and increase the efficiency of construction engineering.
