Hide and Seek No More: Lived Experiences of Jewish Adlerian Women
Abstract: The article presents the narrative lived experiences of three Jewish Adlerian women following the attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and during the time of the Israel-Hamas war that followed. The lived experiences are tied to a discussion about antisemitism as the oldest prejudice and its contemporary expressions. The narratives and the overview of antisemitism contribute to the continuous discourse related to Adlerian ethics, our shared responsibility to fight the injustice of antisemitism, upholding the best of the Adlerian tenets of holism, Gemeinschaftsgefühl , phenomenology, and honoring Adlerian traditions of introspection and dialogue as a way of knowing and learning. The reader is encouraged to interact with the authors’ narratives, the historical and theoretical discussions following the narrative, and their own inevitable lifestyled reactions.
