Active Optical Tethering for Precision Home Rehabilitation: A Hybrid Inertial-Projection System as an Application of the Livakoland Framework

This conceptual technical paper, grounded in the Livakoland Framework [1], proposes a hybrid inertial-projection system for precision home-based rehabilitation. The core innovation is "active optical tethering": wearable modules that project coded infrared laser markers onto room surfaces (walls, floor, ceiling), enabling sub-degree accuracy in 3D motion tracking without laboratory infrastructure. Combined with inertial measurement units (IMUs) and sensor fusion algorithms, the system corrects drift, providing a real-time digital twin of the patient's motor state. Integrated with the Didactic Feedback Loop (DFL) Protocol [2] for interactive training, the Adaptive Dynamic Cognitive Retention Model (ADCRM) [3,4] for personalized maintenance of motor skills, and ethical sensory design principles [5], this approach potentially transforms a standard room into a cybernetic environment for long-term motor preservation. Targeted at chronic conditions like cerebral palsy or stroke recovery, it aims to shift from clinic-dependent care to patient-empowered, lifetime self-maintenance. Key technical elements include bidirectional laser axes for visibility, multiplexed identification for multi-segment tracking, and room-as-instrument calibration. This work extends the Livakoland paradigm from biological to neuromotor systems, emphasizing seamless integration and cognitive sovereignty. This is a conceptual proposal; future work includes prototyping and empirical validation.
