Introduction: Constitutional Reform in the Commonwealth Caribbean and Decolonization

Abstract A wave of constitutional reform is sweeping the Caribbean, yet the reform efforts are leaving the (neo)colonial political systems intact, offering symbolic changes without structural transformation. As the Caribbean faces contemporary challenges of governance, debt, violence, inequality, and climate vulnerability, this collection of essays calls for constitutional reimagining that dismantles (neo)colonial systems, to ensure that the people are the authors and foundations of their constitutions.
