ASRF-III: A Multi-Loop Stability Architecture for Adaptive Systems
⚠️ Deprecated / Superseded ReleaseThis record has been superseded by:Minimal ASRF v1.0 (Stan Henry Jr.) — Stable Minimal Reference Implementation. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18227849 The newer release provides a compressed, operational framework intended for public use and citation. This record remains available for historical traceability only. ASRF-III (Adaptive Stability and Regulation Framework, Version 1.2) is a conceptual systems architecture for designing, analyzing, and reasoning about stable adaptive systems operating under uncertainty, variable load, and entropy. The framework models system behavior using multiple interacting feedback loops, dual reservoirs (work and buffer), staged refinement layers, explicit purge and cooling paths, and a finite-state regulatory controller with hysteresis, rate limits, and fail-safe dominance. An observer / instrumentation layer exposes measurable internal state (flow, quality, stability, phase timing) to support diagnosis, governance, and iterative refinement. The framework is domain-agnostic and intended for educational, simulation, and systems-engineering contexts rather than direct physical implementation. This release includes a formal specification, executive summary, system schematics, and supporting artifacts. Claims are limited to architectural reasoning and stability analysis; no claims are made regarding predictive completeness or universal optimality.
