09 02 Metastasis Base Architecture Lung Small Cell Lung Carcinoma SCLC
Small cell lung cancer originates from pulmonary neuroendocrine (Kulchitsky) cells and exhibits unique biological characteristics: extreme proliferative rate, early metastatic spread (70%present with extensive-stage disease), initial chemosensitivity followed by rapid resistance, andprofound immunosuppression despite high mutational burden [1, 2]. Standard platinum-etoposidechemotherapy yields 60-70% initial response rates, yet median overall survival remains 9-11months with 2-year survival <10% . This model tries to capture the dynamic and core architecture of the corelation and evolution of metastasis derived from this Carcinoma.
