Working Group A: Policies, tools, and research support for FAIR data management. Full Report 2025

Working Group A was formed within the Terms of Reference for the FAIR Reference group, which was established to monitor and coordinate the National strategy for data management based on the FAIR principles. This report is an appendix to the Annual report 2025 of the National Strategy for Data Management based on the FAIR principles. In 2025 working group A has focused on the Danish landscape of machine-actionable Data Management Plans (maDMPs), focusing on universities by conducting a small empirical survey among DeiC front office personnel. Another important topic has been the research support function, and in particular its technical dimension, which is a critical prerequisite for research quality, research productivity, and in turn national competitiveness. The research support function is also discussed in relation to an example of a model for building a research support function that can cover both general and specialised needs.
