Small cell lung cancer originates from pulmonary neuroendocrine (Kulchitsky) cells with neuralcrest origin and constitutes 13-15% of all lung cancers [1]. Despite exquisite initial chemosensitivity (60-70% response rates to platinum-etoposide), SCLC exhibits near-universal recurrencewithin 4-6 months, with median overall survival of 9-11 months and 2-year survival <10% [3, 2].This paradox—initial vulnerability followed by inexorable resistance—motivates a systems-levelanalysis of tumor homeostasis, intrinsic heterogeneity, and adaptive compensation mechanisms
