Biomechanical Evaluation of Full-Length S2 Alar-Iliac Screws Combined With Posterior Iliac Transfixion Screws for the Treatment of Unilateral Unstable Sacral Fractures
Full-length S2 alar-iliac screws combined with posterior iliac transfixion screws demonstrated a favorable load-sharing capacity and a reduced risk of implant fatigue. These findings indicate that this fixation method may represent an effective alternative to standard S1 screws with S2 alar-iliac screws for the treatment of unilateral unstable sacral fractures.
