Lewis acid-switched regiodivergent <i>N</i> 1 / <i>N</i> 2 -alkylation of ben-zotriazoles with α-hydroxyl diazo compounds
Herein, we report a Lewis acid-switching strategy that enables programmable selectivity between kinetically controlled <i>N</i>1-alkylation and thermodynamically favored <i>N</i>2-alkylation using α-hydroxyl diazo compounds as versatile electrophiles.
