Steel, Code, and Courage: Romania's Defense Legacy
This article examines Romania’s defense legacy through the lens of technological evolution, from World War I observation balloons and Gogu Constantinescu’s synchronization system to NATO’s algorithm-driven security architecture. It explores how aerial strategies, once reliant on bayonets and biplanes, have transformed into integrated systems of drones, sensors, and digital networks, while preserving the symbolic and ethical foundations of military honor. By tracing the continuum between tradition and innovation, the study argues that defense superiority today depends not only on steel and code but on courage—an enduring value that technology amplifies rather than replaces.
