Bibliometric analysis of research on traditional Chinese medicine for prevention and treatment of myocardial fibrosis from 2008 to 2025 based on Web of Science database

Current research hotspots concentrate on 3 domains: pharmacological actions of herbal bioactive components, network pharmacology-based mechanistic exploration, and clinical translation of integrative medicine approaches. These advancements not only provide novel research perspectives for TCM-based MF interventions but also facilitate the integration of complementary and alternative medicine with modern medical paradigms. The findings highlight TCM's expanding clinical applications in cardiovascular therapeutics and its potential to bridge traditional knowledge with contemporary biomedical innovations.
