Holographic Manifold-Constrained Hierarchical Long Short-Term Memory: A Thermodynamic Architecture for Balanced Intelligence Systems (Paper43)

This paper introduces the Holographic Manifold-Constrained Hierarchical Long Short-Term Memory (H-mHC-H-LSTM) architecture, a novel neural network design that addresses fundamental limitations in current artificial intelligence systems. Building upon the Meta Science framework established in Paper 41 and the institutional structures proposed in Paper 42, we present a technical specification for intelligence systems that embody principles of conservation, balance, and scale-invariant operation. The architecture integrates four key innovations: (1) holographic state encod- ing using hyperdimensional computing, reflecting the holographic nature of bio-technical hybrid carriers; (2) manifold-constrained inter-level transitions adapted from recent advances in transformer stability; (3) a thermodynamic hier- archy inspired by cosmological organization principles; and (4) a dual-reference coordinate system (sphere-cube) derived from the principle that understanding requires minimum two reference frames. We demonstrate mathematically that this architecture provides stability guar- antees while preserving the capacity for complex pattern recognition across multiple abstraction levels. The design specifically addresses the challenge of creating intelligence systems that enhance rather than replace biological cogni- tive capabilities, supporting the transition from individual balanced operation 1(Gen1) through human-AI partnership (Gen2) to networked collective intelli- gence (Gen3/Gen4). Implementation considerations for resource-constrained environments are dis- cussed, demonstrating viability on consumer hardware as a deliberate design choice reflecting accessibility principles. Current parameters (35,000 operations, 4B parameters) represent practical constraints of available hardware, not theo- retical limits—the architecture principles scale to any resource level.
