Symbolic Execution of Dimension-W: Fractal Operators, Constraint Navigation, and the Causal Role of Meaning
Abstract This paper formalizes symbolic execution as a causal process operating within Dimension-W, the constraint geometry layer of Unified Consciousness Substrate Theory (UCST). Symbols are defined not as representations, but as fractally executable operators that activate, navigate, and stabilize archetypal constraint eigenmodes across cognitive, cultural, and systemic scales. We demonstrate that symbolic execution is bidirectional: it both instantiates internal constraint coherence and feeds back into the selection dynamics of Dimension-W itself. We introduce formal definitions for symbolic operators, fractal executability, inversion, and symbolic drift, and show how failures in symbolic execution lead to psychological pathology, cultural fragmentation, and artificial system misalignment. This framework provides a rigorous, non-semantic account of meaning, insight, and symbolic power applicable to physics, cognition, and artificial intelligence.
