Development of 5D-glioblastoma and blood-tumour barrier models to investigate combination treatments of anticancer agents and efflux pump inhibitors

This poster outlines the goals and early results of the GBM4EPI project. The work focuses on developing advanced glioblastoma (GBM) and blood-tumour (BTB) models to study drug permeability and resistance. It was firstly presented at the Molecular Biotechnology Center (MBC) Retreat (22-23 May 2025, Champoluc, Italy), an institutional event promoting collaboration among researchers at the host institution. Later, the poster was presented at the 5th Worskhop of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SIB) group “Tumour Biochemistry” (9–10 June 2025, Turin, Italy), where the researcher was also involved in the event organization and management. This work has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 101151942 — GBM4EPI.
