Optimization of Customs Interaction between Russia and China as a Factor in the Development of Bilateral Trade in the Context of Sanctions Pressure
Relevance of the Research Topic. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China with a special emphasis on aspects of customs interaction. During the study, the authors examine in detail the current state of bilateral economic cooperation, identifying key trends, obstacles and prospects for further development. Scientific analysis confirms the need to modernize and improve customs regulation mechanisms, which is a critical factor for intensifying trade flows and eliminating existing barriers. In the context of global economic challenges and foreign policy instability, special attention is paid to developing strategies to deepen customs cooperation between Russia and China. The article argues that the expansion and optimization of customs procedures can not only contribute to the growth of mutual trade volumes, but also increase the efficiency of logistics chains, reduce time and financial costs for business, and strengthen the positions of the two states in the international trade and economic system. Problem statement: The current geopolitical situation associated with the increased sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation has exacerbated the need to reorient foreign economic relations and diversify export-import flows. China remains a key strategic partner of Russia, but the development of bilateral trade is hampered by institutional, technical and logistical barriers in the field of customs regulation.
