Updating DDI Use Cases Together: A Hands-On Session

This interactive session at the European DDI Users Conference invited attendees to collaboratively refine and modernize DDI use cases using the Alliance’s standardized template. Participants worked together in real time to review, update, and strengthen the content. The session builds on the new Use Cases section of the DDI website, which highlights practical, real-world applications of DDI—such as: Creating codebooks (across multiple DDI products) Documenting research data Building a data catalog Many of the existing use cases originated years ago and no longer reflect current practices. This session focused on reworking that legacy content to ensure the examples are accurate, up to date, and more useful to the community.
