Enhanced MPPT and voltage regulation in PV systems using BERS algorithm and BSAF-controlled ultrahigh step-up converter
The issue of energy shortage is becoming more and more frustrating due to the rapid advancement of technologies, the expansion of industries, and household demand. Because of its affordable price and high production, the photovoltaic (PV) system has seen a significant increase in popularity in recent years. In order to draw the maximum electrical energy from the solar system, a novel maximum power point tracking controlling technique, named as Biruni Earth radius search algorithm, is developed. Moreover, the voltage regulation is performed for boosting the PV output voltage with less stress among the switches; a unique converter, an ultrahigh step-up converter, is implemented in this work. Because of the quick response time and ability to handle both linear and non-linear values, fractional-based Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers are becoming well-known due to the notion of fractional calculus. To improve the system's amplitude and dynamic response, an inverter controlling model, referred to as boosted sooty optimized adaptive fractional, is implemented in this study. This controlling algorithm is developed with the use of boosted sooty tern sail fish, which helps to tune the parameters of kp, ki, and kd. The performance of the proposed system design are assessed by using several measures such as IV & PV characteristics, output voltage, power, total harmonic distortion, efficiency, etc.
