Through comparative analysis, similarities and differences between languages, as well as the influence of cultural and historical factors, are identified. The study discusses the types of homonyms (full homonyms, partial homonyms, homophones, homographs) and their manifestation in the furniture lexicon. The results can be used in linguistics, translation theory and lexicography. The article is based on literature on Uzbek and English linguistics, as well as scientific articles.
