Theoretical and Experimental Optical Properties of 1,2,9-trimethyl-7H-furo[3,2-f] chromen-7-one Compound
This study investigates the thermal, structural, and AC electrical conductivity properties of newly synthesized sensitized coumarin derivatives. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed the polycrystalline nature of the powdered derivatives, exhibiting either monoclinic or triclinic crystal structures. A strong correlation was observed between the chemical structure of the coumarin derivatives and their thermal behavior and electrical conduction mechanisms. Thermal decomposition, occurring primarily between 458 K and 583 K, proceeded in a single major step, with the maximum transition temperature varying based on the specific chemical structure. Analysis of the AC conductivity data indicates that correlated barrier hopping (CBH) is the dominant conduction mechanism for all the investigated derivatives, and the associated CBH parameters were calculated. This study investigates the thermal, structural, and AC electrical conductivity properties of newly synthesized sensitized coumarin derivatives.
