The Breathing Universe: 404_Fields, Operators, and the Emergent Ω
In the Breathing Universe Model (BUM), spacetime is not treated as a static background, nor is time introduced as a primitive coordinate. Reality is instead described as a dynamically tensioned vacuum structured by energetic fields and governed by admissible operator-driven transformations. While earlier BUM papers established the vacuum tension field H, differentiated field regimes, nested snapping dynamics, oscillatory and time-crystal–like phases, and a closed operator spectrum, the physical origin of global ordering has remained implicit. This paper identifies and formalizes the missing connective quantity: the emergent coherence parameter Omega. Omega is shown not to be a new fundamental field, force, or externally imposed frequency. Rather, it arises as a derived global regulator of phase alignment across operator activity within the vacuum. Fields determine energetic possibility, operators define admissible transformation, and Omega governs whether successive transformations remain mutually intelligible and can accumulate into ordered evolution. By developing the emergence of coherence step by step without invoking clocks, coordinates, or external temporal parameters, the paper demonstrates how ordered succession arises naturally from coherence dynamics alone. Directional ordering is shown to emerge through irreversible structural transitions associated with snapping, while time itself appears only later as a representational bookkeeping structure built upon already-established coherence and ordering. The paper further clarifies the role of Omega as a pre-temporal quantity, distinct from energy, time, or information, and establishes a strict dependency hierarchy from vacuum tension to fields, operators, coherence, Omega, directional ordering, time, and information. In doing so, it unifies multiple strands of the Breathing Universe corpus and provides the conceptual keystone for subsequent treatments of relativistic limits, temporal regimes, and information emergence.
