Bridging green and social investments with corporate sustainability outcomes: The roles of sustainable behaviors and digitalization

This study examines how maritime and logistics firms in Vietnam utilize green and social investments to promote sustainable development through corporate sustainable behavior, under the influence of digitalization. Findings from a survey of 225 participants from 65 maritime and logistics firms reveal that both green and social investments significantly contribute to corporate sustainable behavior, which in turn positively influences sustainability outcomes. Moreover, corporate digitalization strengthens these relationships by enabling more effective monitoring, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. The moderating effect of digitalization indicates that technological capability plays a critical role in amplifying the impact of corporate behavior on sustainable outcomes. This study contributes to the existing literature on sustainable investments and sustainable behavior in marine and logistics contexts, providing recommendations for managers and policymakers in pursuing sustainability goals. Finally, limitations and future research directions are discussed.
