Editor’s Note: Implementing AI-based Academic Integrity and Quality Assurance
Starting from Volume 23, Issue 2 (December 2025), the Anbar Journal of Agricultural Sciences (AJAS) formally implements a comprehensive AI-based Academic Integrity and Quality Assurance System as part of its ongoing commitment to transparency, ethical publishing, and scientific reliability. This editorial policy update represents a strategic step toward strengthening research integrity and safeguarding the peer-review process through advanced analytical tools designed to detect citation irregularities, unethical practices, and potential editorial and ethical risks related to authorship, collaboration networks, and referenced literature. The adoption of this framework aligns fully with internationally recognized standards and best practices in open-access publishing, including the DOAJ Guide v2.6 (2025), COPE, and OASPA principles. By integrating artificial intelligence into its integrity checks, AJAS aims to enhance trust in published research, protect authors and reviewers, and reinforce the credibility of Iraqi scholarly journals at the regional and international levels. This Editor’s Note serves as an official record of the journal’s policy implementation and applies to all manuscripts submitted and published from this issue onward
