Plasma cell-free nucleic acids promise disease monitoring and tissue injury assessment of COVID-19

We report gross abnormalities in cfDNA of COVID-19 patients, through parallel analysis of plasma cfDNA and cfRNA during treatment, we demonstrate the translational merit of cell-free nucleic acids as valuable analytes for effective disease monitoring, as well as liquid biopsy of tissue injuries in COVID-19 patients.
