Potential Novel Mechanism of Cancer Metastases Operated by Endocrine Like Cell Signaling Cascade Pathway and Enhanced Through Immune System and Glycosylation Disorders
Cancer Metastasis [CM] is a unique biological and clinical characterization of cancers. In actuality, the main issue with cancer is metastasis. The most prevalent theories for CM include seed and soil interactions, metastatic progression, and pre-metastatic niche. As a result, finding novel and additional metastatic pathways as well as discovering how to control them is essential for the proper treatment of people with this disease. The original tumor may release particular growth factors, such as transforming growth factors [TGFs], that may stimulate somatic stem cells [SSCs] found in many organs, which is the basis of the current innovative mechanism. The excessive exposure of SSC to these growth stimuli may lead to neoplastic transformation. Additionally, abnormal immune system responses and glycosylation disorders may accelerate the development of the converted SSC into additional malignant foci. Experimental work that was carried out at several levels including tissue culture, experimental animals, and human environment have confirmed and supported the current approach.AimThe current review aims to update the theoretical basis for a novel possible cancer metastatic mechanism that relies on an endocrine-like cell signaling pathway.
