Problems of transforming Russia’s economic model of the national economy on the way to the third way model
The purpose of this article is to substantiate the existence of objective prerequisites for the formation of a new model of a non-capitalist national economy. One of the most important factors in this process is the extreme conditions under which Russia’s productive forces operate in the context of its geopolitical confrontation with NATO. The article explores the challenges of transforming the national economy towards a third-way model. This approach to the transformation of Russia’s economic model has not been sufficiently addressed in the scientific literature. The authors rely on the methodology of a systemic national economy, which includes a sociocultural perspective. Economic dynamics are considered here as a derivative of sociocultural dynamics. They cite N. Berdyaev’s well-known idea that the world is moving towards a new organization of labor, a «supra-class perspective» that opposes class-based egoism. The development of a new economic model becomes feasible only under conditions that exclude a plutocratic type of development. The article explores the relevance of A. Bogdanov’s ideas for improving the development of national productive forces and shaping a unique path for the national economy. The narrowly utilitarian approach of supporters of liberal economic theory, which views all government spending as unproductive spending and a deduction from GDP, is criticized. The third way excludes the monopoly of any property. Russia is a country with a communal culture based on the ethics of collectivism. The driving force of the national economy and the entire system of the national economy within this cultural environment is cooperation, mutual understanding, and the harmony of enterprise teams. The effect of synergy works in organizations. It is clear that the third way goes beyond the limits of a capitalist society. In conclusion, the authors point out the special role of social sciences in wartime conditions. National political economy should formulate super-programs and great goals that reflect the meaning of life for the Russian people.
