The impact of ceftazidime-avibactam on 30-day mortality in the treatment of OXA-48 producing Enterobacterales infections: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Ceftazidime-avibactam seemed to be associated with a lower 30-day mortality and more favourable clinical outcomes compared with BAT in the treatment of OXA-48 Enterobacterales infections. Although these findings provide tentative support for current ESCMID/IDSA antibiotic use guidelines for the use of ceftazidime-avibactam for OXA-48 Enterobacterales infections, further high-quality research is required to confirm this and evaluate its role in relation with other emerging novel therapies.
