The Coherence Triad

Version 1.1 This publication serves as a closing reflection and integrative capstone for the Emergent Order Systems (EOS) framework. It does not introduce new theory, formalism, or predictive claims. Instead, it clarifies the structural relationship between three previously published indices—C (Coherence), L (Laminarity), and R (Resilience)—and explicitly defines the conceptual boundaries of the work. Version 1.1 adds empirical grounding and structural refinements based on independent stress-testing across multiple AI systems. Key additions include: a thermodynamic/hydrodynamic structural echo clarifying the state-to-process relationship; explicit statement of index orthogonality; refined ethics-as-efficiency framing with boundary declaration requirements; non-applicability bounds defining where the triad does not apply; and Appendix B documenting hydrodynamic validation through Navier-Stokes simulation. The paper remains a keystone document: consolidating existing contributions, articulating where the framework stops, and releasing further development to domain-specific contexts and expertise.
