The genome sequence of the Skyros Wall Lizard, Podarcis gaigeae (Werner, 1930)
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns3:italic>Podarcis gaigeae</ns3:italic> (Skyros Wall Lizard; Chordata; Lepidosauria; Squamata; Lacertidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,514.62 megabases and 1,422.31 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.33%) is scaffolded into 20 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Most of haplotype 2 (99.58%) is scaffolded into 18 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 20.31 kilobases. </ns3:p>
