Investigation into the Transformation Mechanism of Slurry Diffusion Modes in Sandy Soil Based on the Discrete-Element Method

The diffusion pattern of slurry is complicated by the grouting pressure and soil condition. Through the laboratory test and the numerical simulation of grouting by the discrete-element method (DEM), the diffusion pattern and mechanism of cement slurry in sandy soil under different grouting conditions are studied from both macroscopic and microscopic perspectives. A discrete-element grouting model is employed to explore the effects of grouting pressure, initial soil porosity, and confining pressure on the development of cement slurry diffusion patterns at the microscopic level. The reliability of the simulation findings is verified through laboratory grouting tests. Based on the simulated soil displacement, particle diffusion, and soil porosity distribution the transformation law and micromechanism of slurry diffusion patterns under various grouting conditions are analyzed. The research provides reference for optimizing the grouting scheme to better control grouting diffusion mode and grouting range in grouting engineering.
