2 Cases of Stapler-Assisted Pharyngeal Closure in Total Laryngectomy
Following total laryngectomy, pharyngeal defects can be managed by primary closure or flap reconstruction, depending on the extent and condition of the lesion. In cases of simple primary closure, various suture techniques are employed according to the surgeon’s preference; alternatively, stapler-assisted pharyngeal closure may be considered. We report two cases of patients who underwent total laryngectomy in which stapler-assisted pharyngeal closure was successfully performed.
