Dexamethasone associated with lactic acidosis in a stroke patient with meningioma-associated vasogenic edema: a case report

Early identification and addressing the underlying cause of lactic acidosis is important to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with lactic acidosis, this often requires a thorough medication review for type B lactic acidosis. This case report aims to increase awareness in clinicians regarding the association between dexamethasone and lactic acidosis.
